Please don't click on the reading button unless you've emailed me first and gotten a response. Until I can figure out what the problem is I can't be sure I'll get to you on time.

I've been under the weather for quite some time and I've had to issue some refunds so I'd rather not have people paying in advance when I'm not going to be able to work, or if I'm not going to get an email notifying me there's money in paypal. My PC's been in and out of the shop and I haven't been able to check my account as regularly as I like for months. What a year. lol.

They say psychic people screw electronic stuff up, I guess that's true in my case because it seems like my PC blows up on a regular basis. At this point I don't know whether to get brave and publish a phone number or what. I can't seem to psychically discern where the technical difficulty is so I don't guess I am good at tuning in to inanimate objects. :)

Good News From Clients

A long term client of mine who I've been encouraging to follow her dreams for years recently contacted me to give me an update since her move to Los Angeles. Sometimes you get information so clearly, and with such detail it's downright scary. Other times all you get are symbolism and hints about something, just enough to let you know you're on the right track, but often just enough to be truly frustrating.

Years ago, my husband and I had a coworker who didn't show up for work one day when I was off. He was usually early, so it was quite out of character, and my husband called and asked me to take a look to see if I could figure out why. I flipped some tarot cards and among them was the sun, which I had always seen as a happy card, a sign of success or happy endings. We knew this man was prone to depression, but the sun made me think maybe he had decided to elope and just blew off work, thinking he'd get a suspension for a few days and it wouldn't be a big deal. Something nagged at us both, though, and I posed the question to a tarot group I frequented at the time.

A friend immediately let me know she had often seen the sun as a sudden death. This chilled me, as I had talked this man out of a suicide attempt a few weeks before, and we were all under the impression he was doing better and his relationship was going well. As it turned out, he had committed suicide the night before.

That has always stuck with me for those times when my psychic radar is a bit 'off.' It's frustrating having abilities, because there are times when they just won't work for you, usually when you're emotionally invested in a situation or under stress. The most reliable information I get comes spontaneously, or when I couldn't care less about the outcome. I'll read for friends, but it's much more difficult because I want to see good things and I question what I see and feel because of it.

Anyway, I flip cards when I see crimes in the news, to test myself, and because I like to see the bad guys get caught. The night before Sandra Cantu's body was found I was watching the news, flipping cards and right before I got the sun I started crying because I felt so strongly that she was dead, then the following morning the first thing I saw on my PC was the Yahoo News link to the article stating that she had been found. There's a missing girl in Missouri right now, Kara Kopetsky. I don't feel this one as strongly, but I've pulled cards several times and I am fairly certain she is also dead. I feel she was tricked by someone which makes me think the killer will turn out to be someone she knew. I believe someone invited her to go somewhere where there was supposed to be alcohol or drugs, because I keep pulling the 3 of cups and temperance, which are my 'party' cards, and I've also pulled the sun for her.

At various times in my life I've felt seriously bad vibes that were so strong I literally would not walk into a place of business or a person's house, but at other times it's just a minor passing thought, sometimes that I don't even pay attention to. One afternoon I met a friend at a local resort for a drink, and I was feeling safe since my husband was going to come pick us both up in a couple of hours and we were planning to pace ourselves carefully. We ordered our first drinks and right after we got them another bartender came from the other side of the bar with duplicate drinks. I got a little twinge but I discounted it, since we had someone coming to pick us up.

Huge mistake. The second drink was drugged. At one point I looked at my friend and said 'we have to get out of here right now.' We staggered to a more public part of the resort and got violently ill, then passed out for hours. People ignored us and wrote us off as drunken tourists because a lot of people come here, get drunk, and hang out in the resorts. Generally people just look the other way. We were treated like we were a couple of drunks who didn't know our own limits, which is ridiculous considering I was a bartender for many years and the weekend before was out for dinner and had some drinks without experiencing anything like this. I had several more drinks that evening and didn't get sick, pass out, or lose hours of my day.

We insisted on calling the police and they did not do a toxicology lab. In fact, they acted like all they wanted to do was keep us from doing anything to try to prove anything happened to us. The only thing that saved us from whatever was planned for us was realizing our mistake and moving to a more public area of the resort where whoever did this was not able to keep us where we would have been easy to drag into a nearby restroom or one of the many dark corners. The place where we were sitting was set up to look like caves and we were sitting within feet of the restrooms, so there were multiple places where we could have been hidden from view within seconds if we had not moved to the more exposed area of the resort when we did.

We lost several hours, and I found out later any date-rape drugs usually leave the system by the time the victim wakes up so it's very hard to prove. In our case, we were hindered by unnecessary delays as the hotel management and security asked us questions for 2 hours before the police arrived. It was 8 hours after we were drugged when we arrived at an emergency room and the police didn't even accompany us, so the chain of evidence was broken even if there had been anything left in our systems by then. I came away from the whole thing feeling like it had happened there before and they were very practiced at keeping the tourists from hearing about it, or at the very least from being able to sue them over it.

Less than a month later, a man was arrested in another local hotel for drugging a guest's drink and sexually assaulting her. I also found out the resort where we were drugged had hosted a police seminar on dating violence, including a section on date-rape drugs the month before our incident happened. We had attorneys from the resort contacting us threatening to sue us for slander because we contacted the police and said we were drugged, even though we said we had no idea who did it since the drugs affect memory and the details of our day were so fuzzy we couldn't even describe the people who were around us. How do you slander someone you can't name or identify? I'm still profoundly pissed that the resort appeared to be aware this had happened before and was only interested in protecting their tourist income instead of their guests' safety, and that the local police were complicit in allowing it to happen.

But...the whole thing could have been avoided had I listened to that little voice in my head that said 'don't take those drinks.'

Needless to say, no matter how faint the vibe is, when I get one of those feelings now....I listen, even if it seems silly.

Maybe She's Not A Bitch

One of the things I dislike the most about 'psychic lines' is the love triangle call, or what I refer to as the triangle people. When I get a call and hear the words When is he going to leave that bitch? I know nothing good is going to come from talking to that client.

Unfortunately, at least 90% of the calls on psychic hotlines are related to love triangles. Is he cheating? Will he really leave her? Is he really divorced or just pretending to be single? I don't mind when someone wants to know if a man they just met is being honest, but it's the worst when a woman has wasted years of her life hanging on to a man who has cheated on his wife with no intention of ever being anything but a cheating husband, and she's spent years hating a woman she thinks is the 'bad guy' in this drama. Sometimes I talk to the wives, and they are angry at the other woman, but often not at their husband. I don't get all the misplaced anger at all.

There's so much screwed up here I don't know where to start. First of all, I'm soaking up a lot of anger, which I don't like, because I don't like the way it makes me feel. Second of all, I am dealing with a lot of denial. The women involved are not angry at the right person, the cheating, lying man, but instead they're pouring out a lot of hate onto another woman who has been jerked around by the same guy. It's like a big old Jerry Springer show wrapped up in a phone call.

If I tell the caller she should dump him and go find a guy who doesn't lie to her and string her along, I get a laundry list of why he's the greatest guy in the world and why his wife is a horrible person who has ruined his life, and I'm informed that I'm judgemental and just don't understand. If I tell her he's never going to leave the wife, I'm a liar or 'not psychic.' I can honestly say in all my years of doing this I have seen maybe 3 men who were legitimately making plans to leave the wife for the woman with whom they were having the affair. That's right, a whopping 3. Those are some powerfully sh!**y odds.

I've spoken to a woman who spent 20 years cheating with a man who finally left his wife, then married another woman 3 days after the divorce was final. I've spoken to women who wasted most of their child-bearing years waiting for some jerk to get his divorce, then they finally came to their senses and couldn't find a husband in time to have children. Wasted lives, and years spent in denial while they spewed venom at other women who had done nothing to them, but they were so busy believing some man's lies they couldn't see the truth. They spent their lives in pain and anger and the man they were involved with didn't give them or his wife a second thought. I'm sorry for their pain, but in essence they threw their own lives away when everyone around them kept telling them to wake up.

Sadly, there are 'psychics' who will tell you whatever you want to hear, and they will string you along for years, just like the guy who will date you for 20 years without divorcing his wife. You can spend thousands of dollars on a phony psychic who will back up the cheater's lies and tell you whatever you want to hear which to me is about the lowest thing a person can do. I get a little nervous when someone calls me too often because I don't think it's healthy for a person to obsess on anything. You call, you get your answer, end of transaction. If I hear from you too often something isn't right, imo. Either I'm not communicating clearly or you're obsessing on something.

I don't know why women are so easily convinced other women are bitches, or other women are to blame for everything that goes wrong in a man's life, but they are, time and time again. I hate it, and I hate the way it makes me feel when I talk to them. I have no desire to talk to anyone who has no intention of actually listening to what I say when they ask for my advice, and in my experience, the triangle people are already convinced they're right and the rest of the world is wrong. Ick. Don't call me. Seriously. I don't want to waste my time on people I can't help, and I don't want the headache I'm going to get from talking to you.

So, all I really have to say about it is, when you get ready to say When is he going to leave that bitch? Maybe, just maybe, you should ponder these thoughts instead. 1) maybe he isn't that great of a guy, 2) you deserve better and could set your sights a little higher and 3) maybe she really isn't a bitch.

These Represent The Police and The Mother

<img style="margin: 0px 10px 10px 0px; I know there is a lot of stuff online about how we're all of the light and we're all in this to help people and because it's a calling, something we feel we have to do based on our spirituality, blah blah blah...

Well, some psychics do this because they really do want to help people. Some do this because it's fun. Some do it because, frankly, it beats the heck out of working for someone else and punching a time clock. Some do it because no matter what else they do for a living, the images, feelings, or information just won't stop coming and they figure they may as well make a few bucks from it.

I've known psychics who laughed about some of their clients and referred to them as losers or idiots. I've known psychics who ate themselves up with guilt over predictions that turned out to be wrong, or clients who just couldn't seem to get a break in life. I've known people who worked on psychic lines who didn't think of themselves as psychic at all, who only saw it as another scam, a way to make money off people they viewed as too dumb to know there was 'no such thing' as a psychic.

For me, there is nothing worse than finding out I misinterpreted something and things didn't turn out the way I saw them happening. It's usually not a case of not having the information, but rather my failure to interpret it correctly. Sometimes you miss a detail or think it means something else, and in some instances the person isn't meant to have the information, but when someone is in pain and you have no explanation for why they are going through a certain painful process, it's extremely frustrating for both the psychic and the client. Since psychic information doesn't come always come through in exactly the manner you request it, sometimes things don't make sense immediately.

1 example was a group reading done on a board I visit where a woman asked for help in locating a missing dog. I distinctly got 'trapped' and that the dog would return. I was under the impression the dog was in someone's house or in a shelter, and since the owner was making the rounds and posting notices, I figured she would either contact the right shelter or the person who had the dog would see a notice and call her. Days later she posted that her dog had come home dragging a snare trap she had been trapped in for days, so what I had gotten was actually her being literally in a trap. If I had said something, the owner might have gone looking and found her sooner, but at the time I blew it off, thinking the dog was OK and it was no big deal since she was going to come home anyway.

It's equally frustrating when a client asks for insight and then refuses to listen. There are very few people who have never gotten themselves into at least one bad situation that was either partially their own fault, or compounded by their own faulty decisions or bad behavior. Almost everyone can look back on their life and think of at least 1 situation where their behavior was less than stellar, or a decison was not well thought-out. But it's maddening when someone calls or comes in for a reading and then either argues with you or ignores your advice, only to contact you again in a few days or a few weeks to ask you for help when they've made the situation worse by ignoring your advice. I know a lot of people like having the same clients call every week for years, but to me, if someone is calling me every week for years, that means they either have an obsession, they are in some serious denial, or they have a problem that requires some professional other than a psychic.

Let me be clear, I truly like most of my clients, and there are a few who have made me cry after a really intense reading where I pulled up a lot of emotional baggage and abusive history I wish I didn't know about. But there have been a few who made me wish I could climb through the phone wires and shake some sense into them. I'm human. I get frustrated, and I'd be a liar if I said I didn't.

I once had a caller who asked about her fiance, who was a convict who had been in prison for 15 years. I didn't see what he had done, but I did see deception, so I asked her and she said she didn't know because she didn't think it was any of her business. Now, maybe it's just me, but it would seem to me if you were going to become engaged to a man who was in prison for a long time, it might behoove you to find out if maybe he were there for strangling his previous fiance, or if it were white collar crime, or what, but then, I've been accused of being judgemental. I dunno, it just seems it might come up sometime in the whole getting to know you process. I won't go so far as to call this woman an idiot, but I certainly think she's being far too trusting.

Another time I had a woman tell me she had been dating a married man for several years, and she recently gave him an ultimatum. I already saw him waiting her out, ignoring the ultimatum because he didn't believe she would really walk, and before I could tell her this, she said 'He knows I'm moving this weekend, is he going to show up with his truck and help me?' Now, again, psychically, I already know he's aware she's bluffing and he plans to wait her out and establish that he's in charge. When I tell her, she's livid, but she isn't mad at him, she's mad at me. Finally I tell her 'So, you've let this guy know for several years now that you will come in 2nd to his wife and kids, and he's been happy with this arrangement. Now, you suddenly want something more and when you demand it, he stops calling you. He's made it perfectly clear you are in no position to deliver an ultimatum, hasn't he? You've backed yourself into a corner and now you have 2 choices, either walk on, or back down and accept the same thing he's always offered you.' This is a clear-cut case of someone creating a situation they think a psychic can magically fix, when there is nothing I can do other than confirm that yes, she has backed herself into a corner, and no, he's not going to be manipulated because that's his role.

Now, here's my all time scariest reading, one I'm still haunted by to this day. I've always wondered if this woman ever got justice for her daughter. I was working for a 1-900 psychic line, one that used to advertise on TV back in the late 90s. We always asked people to identify themselves but I never really expected people to give their real phone numbers or first names, so I have no idea who this woman was or where she was from. IIRC, her daughter's name was Michelle, but I'm not 100% on that. She started off her call with 'tell me what happened to my daughter.' I was using tarot cards, and when I laid down my cards I got an instant flash and just knew she was dead. I got a rush of information very quickly but I didn't know if Mom knew she was dead or not. I was about to accidentally cut myself off when I thought to ask her if she knew, and when she said yes, I decided to stay on the line and tell her what I saw and felt.

In the above posts I've shown the cards I drew. The 4 of swords and the 3 of swords told me she was dead, along with the feeling that went through my body as I got the information. The 3 of swords meant she had either been suffocated or drugged in a way that stopped her breathing or heartbeat, and the wheel of fortune told me there had been a staged car accident. The moon reinforced the lie, or the cover-up, the fact there was something false about the situation.

The 3 of wands backed up my feeling there were 3 people involved, and the 2 of cups told me there were 2 people who were romantically involved, while the emperor told me 1 of the people involved was either wealthy or powerful, as in politically connected or someone who had standing in the community or the business world.

The king of swords represented the police and the 9 of swords represented the mother's anguish and my feelings told me she had been unsuccessful at getting anyone to believe her this was not an accident.

I told her everything I saw and felt, and she told me this was all true. The couple were the girl's twin sister and her boyfriend. The man was a male relative and the motive was money as they were all in line for some inheritance and they were getting her out of the way, apparently, to make their split larger, according to the mother. I could not tell if anyone would find justice for her daughter and I've never heard if anyone did. I still don't know what purpose this reading had or why I got the information so clearly. I've searched internet crime blogs for years hoping for an update on this case without any luck, so I don't know if I'll every hear if this case was resolved to the mother's satisfaction.

Because of this experience I always find myself throwing cards when there is an unsolved mystery blogged or featured on TV, but I'm hesitant to contact people because I've seen so many people get upset about this sort of thing. I always get a little bit of satisfaction though, when I get a 'hit' at home that is verified later on the news.

For the most part, I think what I do is for fun, something to do to entertain people and see what kinds of things I can tell them about themselves or their friends, but as many times as it's saved my skin I occasionally think maybe there are some more important uses for this ability, but the universe is going to have to lead me. It's gratifying when I can help, fun when I can entertain, and a blessing on those occasions when it saves my skin or someone else's.

I guess if I never understand any more than that, that's enough.

Next.....the love triangle.

What Psychics Can And Cannot Do

There are a lot of misconceptions about what psychics can and cannot do, or even what a psychic is.

Can a psychic bring back a lost love? No. A psychic may be able to tell you what someone is thinking or feeling, but they cannot force someone else to do anything. Anyone who tells you otherwise is just preying on your desperation or using your loneliness for their own financial gain.

Psychic ability is not 100%, no matter what some psychics advertise. Just like professional athletes, psychics have off days and flub plays. We misinterpret our information at times or get things sideways on occasion. Anyone who tells you they are never wrong is either lying or has an overinflated ego because even the best psychics are sometimes wrong. It happens. No ability is infallible, no matter how fine-tuned. Thinking the only way a person can be psychic is if they are right 100% of the time or they can predict everything that ever happens to them is the number 1 misconception about psychics.

Here's a bulletin-psychics have car wrecks. Psychics occasionally get surprised, startled, cheated, lied to and have misfortunes just like everyone else. For some who are extremely sensitive it's almost unbearable to have their psychic antennae up 24/7. You have to turn it off when you aren't working or you'll be uncomfortable, even miserable. Out of the many psychics I know, there are a handful who can tell when someone is lying to them, but there are many more who can't. Of the best psychics I know, only 1 of them can consistently tell when people are lying to her. The biggest complaint I hear from other psychics is why can I see things for other people but I never know when something awful is going to happen to me? We all have different gifts, and not all of us are able to get through the emotional walls people throw up when they are lying. Many of us can't 'read' for ourselves when we try. For me, if information comes to me spontaneously I know it's real, but if I'm trying to get an answer that pertains to me I can't be sure the answer is valid. That means anyone can lie right to my face. That also means a person can call for a reading and lie about their name, or tell me the situation is different than it really is. I will get hints that tell me something is off immediately, which only wastes the person's time if they are calling on a per-minute service. My personal favorite was the guy who assumed I was too stupid to know who he was talking about when he said his name was Alan Greenspan. Puh-leeze.

Being psychic does not equal mind reading. However, my husband and I have a weird connection that could almost qualify. Several times a week either he calls me or I call him to say exactly what the other was thinking. Or, we say the exact same words at the same time at the dinner table or during other conversation. In readings, I tend to use the exact words people report others using in conversations either afterward or in previous meetings when describing situations. I also have a very good record with the old 'I'm thinking of a number between 1 and 10' game.

Can psychics pick lotto numbers? I have mixed feelings about this one. I have heard there are psychics who can do this. I can't because I deal with feelings and there are no feelings attached to a ball that drops in a machine. But not all psychics deal with feelings. Some see, and I can totally picture someone having a vision of the ball dropping and getting the numbers that way, or having a prophetic dream. Since I have heard of at least 1 person dreaming the numbers the night before and winning that way, I have to go with yes, even though I don't personally know anyone who has done this. I believe it is extremely rare or we'd all be rich.

Can we get answers immediately on demand? Not exactly. I used to have an acquaintance who could ask a question before bed and wake up in the morning with the answer, which doesn't work for me. The only answers I get for myself come spontaneously, yet I can shuffle a tarot deck and ask a question for someone else and get an answer in seconds. For me, the pictures on the deck sort of appear to move forward and tell me what is happening, but if I ask a question for myself they don't move. That's the only way I can explain it, it's like they won't talk to me if I'm asking a question for myself. Additionally, I get that little electric-jolt-like feeling sometimes that tells me when I'm dead-on.

I know some people who can get answers fairly fast, and others who vary in their speed. Everyone works differently and everyone uses different methods. If you put 30 psychics in a room and have them look at the same problem you'll get 30 different details found using 30 different methods. Some people see things almost like a movie. Others get symbolism and have to decipher it to figure out what it means. Others feel emotions and can tell you how the people involved are feeling. Nobody gets every single piece so each person will get another piece of the puzzle. Some people can describe personalities, others can describe how people look, how they dress, someone else may tell you what kind of car they drive, someone else may be able to describe their house or their yard. I've had someone describe a very distinctive structure in my yard before, for example. At various times I've gotten information to tell me a person was an animal rights activist or I've seen bottles all around someone and when I asked what that meant they told me they were a bartender. Another time I had a woman ask me what had happened to her daughter and as I put cards on the table I realized her daughter was dead, but I could not tell whether or not she knew. In just a few horrifying seconds I had to decide whether or not to tell her...I finally asked her if she knew what had happened and when she said she did I told her I was going to tell her what I saw. ( I'll post more about that reading in my next entry.)You just never know what kind of information you will receive, if it will be mundane or earth shattering.

Some people use tools, some don't. I've noticed my abilities change with my health and my stress levels. When my stress level is low and my health is good my answers come quickly and easily. If I'm stressed and/or not in the best of health it takes a little longer. I've heard of people completely losing abilities during times of great stress or illness.

Some people call themselves psychics, some refer to themselves as intuitives, some are religious, some aren't. It doesn't really matter to me. The only thing I find offensive is people who tell me I'm evil or I'm going to have to 'face God' because of this. Why is it automatically assumed I'm at odds with God? Why am I supposed to be afraid of God? Who exactly do they think gave us these abilities anyway? I personally don't believe there is a devil, and I don't buy into their scare tactics. I've had a near death experience, dealt with ghosts, read extensively about the afterlife and reincarnation experiences, and I have no fear. If people want to believe psychic abilities are evil, that's fine, but they can go squawk about it in a religious forum and leave me the h3!! alone. I believe we are given these abilities for good. My abilities have saved my skin on at least 3 occasions, and I can only believe that was God at work, so if some religious nut case wants to think I'm not right with God, they can take it up with him in their own afterlife. ;)

The bottom line is this; psychic abilities cannot be narrowly defined, and nobody can say all psychics can do x or all psychics can't do x. Except for really crazy stuff like removing curses and bringing back lost loves, because seriously, nobody can make anybody do anything they don't want to do, and there's no such thing as a curse. If someone tells you you're cursed, you can bet they're going to tell you for a certain large sum of money they can remove the curse and you're about to be scammed.

I can't speak for everyone, but I sincerely want to help my clients when I do a reading, and I feel bad for them when they don't get what they want.

next: what psychics really think about their clients and some of my most memorable calls

Poll

Psychics Can....
( surveys)

New Poll

Got the old poll moved to a new post, finally.

Now, about the new poll. A ghost or haunting is self explanatory. Prophetic dreams are simply dreams you have about something that later happens exactly as you dreamt it. Premonitions are feelings that something is going to happen. Visions would be actually seeing something instead of feeling it. Knowledge from nowhere is what I call one of my gifts, which is commonly known as claircognizance. You just suddenly know something you have no normal means of knowing. When it happens for me I get something that is sort of like an electric shock feeling that goes through my entire body, but without any pain. That's the best way I can describe it. I feel the truth as it passes through my body and my brain, if that makes any kind of sense.

Knowledge from touch is something called clairsentience. It can also manifest as smells, such as a person smelling something that is a clue to the information they're getting, such as Grandma's perfume when her spirit is communicating with you, for example. Clairsentience is kind of a catch-all for more than one sense, but there are other terms also used for psychic smelling (clairaroma, clairalience or clairolfaction) and psychic tasting (clairgustance.) Psychometry, being able to tell things about a person by holding their possessions such as a ring or a watch in your hand, is a form of clairsentience. I had an acquaintance who was a massage therapist, and when she touched her clients she could feel illnesses, which would probably classify her as a type of medical intuitive but still falls under the umbrella of clairsentience, in my opinion.

'Psychic connections' run the gamut from the unusual connection some twins have where they just know when the other is in trouble or in pain, to the strange type of connection I have with my husband where we are constantly thinking the exact same thing. Either he calls me to tell me something I was just thinking of calling him about, or vice versa. It's such a common occurrance for us it's no longer unusual. Often he comes home with something in the evening I just decided that morning I would have to buy later in the week. It's uncanny with us. I had a friend years ago who I would meet in a nearby town whenever I would drive through his turnpike lane or occasionally I would run into him while shopping, and I would know when I left that I would see him that day. Without fail, I always managed to find his turnpike booth though my vision is not good enough to plan ahead, and even on his wedding day I managed to find him at the bank with a wedding gift when I was unable to make it to the wedding. After all those years, and all those 'chance' meetings, he actually asked how did you know I'd be here? I wonder. ;)

Deja vu is another one I feel is self explanatory. When I've experienced it, it's been especially odd, because I'm well known for having no sense of direction at all, yet on a couple of occasions I have been to places that were extremely familiar to me even though I had never been there before, and instinctively knew my way around, shocking everyone who knew me.

On that note, the new poll is off to the lower right, and I will be discussing the old poll in a few days.

This Can't Be, Can It?

I saw an article online a while back that said a large percentage of people believed in some form of psychic phenomena, which surprised me.

Why? Because in my personal experience, that has not been the case. In my experience there are believers and there are the rabid non-believers who froth at the mouth when you say you have abilities or you know someone who does. Lots of them. They generally fall into 2 categories, the religious and the Atheists.

The religious ones tell us how evil we are (yes, I’ve been called evil) for even dabbling in the paranormal. The Atheists are big on calling us delusional and stupid. Personally, I think it’s the height of arrogance to think you know everything there possibly is to know, or there is not anything on this earth you can’t explain, such as psychic phenomena.

Another often heard comment from the Atheists is ‘there’s no evidence, no scientific data.’ Not true. Allison DuBois, yes, that Allison DuBois, was studied extensively, along with some other psychics, and you can read about it in Gary Schwartz’s book; The Truth About Medium: Extraordinary Experiments with the real Allison DuBois of NBC’s Medium and other Remarkable Psychics.

He also wrote The Afterlife Experiments: Breakthrough Scientific Evidence of Life After Death. Then there’s Dean Radin’s The Conscious Universe: The Scientific Truth of Psychic Phenomena. You’d think those scientific types would get their facts straight, right?

Now, if you have psychic abilities, you know how odd it feels. Maybe you hid it from people when you were younger, or even still do. I’ve been harassed on the job by religious people who actually campaigned to have me fired because I was evil. When I was in my teens and 20s I used to do what I’ve dubbed drunken psychic tourette’s, where if I had a couple of drinks I would not even realize I had blurted something out and scared the cr@p out of someone with some awful secret nobody was supposed to know. Once I told a girl I’d just met her date was married (he was) and caused a huge uproar in the middle of a fun evening. I was in my mid to late 20s before I learned how to keep from speaking when things would pop into my head like that. At first I was completely unaware it was happening and thought people were lying when they would tell me I said something outrageous. Sometimes people would be terrified and avoid me for years after one of my revelations.

Of course, in later years, those people would seek me out to ask if the latest guy was telling the truth. ;)

I have a lot more to say, but first I want to run this poll, so I’m going to stop for today.
